Got my sub installed today, also got a bass headache from listening for a few hours!
Have about 350 watts to a 10" Infinity Kappa Pefect, and I used the PAC OEM to tap into the Bose system. Sounds really good, better than I thought it would.
350 watts is perfect to match the volume of the stock system, adds a good amount of low end. I also swapped the twiddlers to Alpine 080's, though they made little difference.
Ended up using 18' of #4 wire for power, and 11' of ground to go to the pass seat mounting bolt.
Nah, it took way longer that I thought it would, around 5 hrs. But I made my rca cables and hid everything. The ground cable I had bought yesterday was a foot short....
Still need to make a cover to replace the stock cargo cover and protect the sub.
Subthump.com has a couple install photos and one of them had a speaker grill built into a stock looking compartment cover to better vent the sub. Just a thought nice work getting things done.
I like the Lloyd's cut-out for the sub too but it wont handle the depth of my JL Audio 10v2 sub, the corner conpartments don't have enough air space for a 8W7, I'm looking for killer subs for the corners without giving up my roof space.
