Default Audio question for C5

A while back while adjusting the fade and balance *****, I noticed the output of the right-rear speaker was significantly lower than the remainder of the speakers. Initially thinking it was blown, I replaced with a new OEM speaker. Unfortunately, this did not solve the problem. Is it possible the right-rear ouput channel has malfunctioned? Is this speaker driven from the head unit or the amplifier from the right door?

I'm not real familiar with how this system is wired. Any ideas or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Bryan.

the rear speaker is driven from the head unit so it may be bad.

Keep in mind that the rear speakers do not receive the full range of frequencies like the fronts. The rears will always sound less full than the fronts no matter what, the Bose deck sends the rears the limited range.

BUT, the right rear should sound as good as the left rear.

Try fading to only the rears, and then balance betweent hem and see if they sound equal. If not, I would swap the speakers and see if the problem follows the speaker. If not, then the wiring or deck is damaged.
