alright I finally took my H/U out cause my front speakers where not working and I cant figure out how in the world this PIE connector works. Its a HRC-GM21..

Or what all would it take to take the BOSE system out? Any recom on a set of componet speakers? I would need this to be powerd by a JL amp.. I want it to match my 500.1 for my sub

It is not too difficult a job to remove the Blose and install a good aftermarket HU.
You've already got the amps and sub, so, the big issues here are finding a unit you like to fit your dash. Most 1.5+ Dins to me are pretty rotten quality.
If you go single Din, you can get a custom faceplate to cover the gap. Vrumvrum on this Forum makes a great piece for that.

Speakers? Depends on your budget, but, of course you'll have to run new wire for them from your amps.
I'm running Focal Utopias in the front and Bostons in the rear hatch. (all component) They are a little pricey, but a good speaker for the money.
I made a custom template using the old mount from the old door speaker unit. You can easily fit a 6.5" 3 way setup or 7" 2 way comps.

I've seen other configs that were pretty cool. Lots of space in the doors. Be sure to install Dynamat in the door frame for optimum sound.
Give me a shout if you need pics or have any other questions.

You can easily fit a 6.5" 3 way setup or 7" 2 way comps.... a few guys have 7" and 8" 3 ways in the doors ( i think the tweeters are in the door pulls) running wire in this car is really simple, so that isn't an issue really. The amps are integrated into the 8" 'subs' in the door, so it's a matter of about 6 screws to remove that part of the bose system. The rest of the wiring you can leave in place and just run new speaker wire.

for speakers, check out CDT's (thats what i'm currently running) and jl's 3-way components and even simpleman's suggestions if you want to spend a bit more.

and I agree totally with the dynamat. i have yet to do this and it annoys the !@#% out of me when i get some mid bass hits and the door rattles.
