Don't know length but IMO it is worth spending some money on your signal cables (rca's). Check out knuconceptz.com. Speaker cable on the other hand I find it hard to "hear" any difference between monster cable and lamp power cable for what its worth.
i agree as 100% with fej. RCA seems to be worth spending the extra money and as far as speaker wire goes. Any OFC cable should do. I first thought that RCA cable wouldnt matter whether its monster or radio shack, but after installing a set of monster RCA cables for my home stereo, turned me into a believer. Check out knukoncept as mentioned. I ordered my amp kit from there and it was a great price and fast shipping too. got mine in 3 days i believe.

Its actually http://www.knukonceptz.com The wires look very nice but be careful, I just finished an install on my duaghters truck using the karma rca interconnects and splitters from these guys, 2 of the 4 cables were bad. Also the RCA interconnects look like they are a heavy gauge, but upon removing one of the ends I found the actual wire to be very thin, 22 gauge maybe..its all jacket.
I also use knukonceptz cables and wires.
I never had a problem with them (and I've had lots of orders). Sorry to hear you had a bad set. Did they send you a free set?
As for the small wire in RCA cables, that is normal. I've never seen large wire in RCAs except for the shielding. I've even made RCA cables and used small wire for great distance (while in Air Force) for PA systems, etc.
There is a lot of shielding on that wire to prevent interference from everthing thats going on in a car electronically. As far as length, it depends on how you are goign to run it. You wanna run it away from you amp power cables. Use a string or some other cable to mock up a run and give yourself some room to spare by goin an extra 3 feet. I got the amp eko amp kit and received a lot of RCA cable. I put the amp behind my passenger seat and had the coil up the rca cable. I had a whole lot. But if i ever wanna move it i can

its not the prettiest thing right now. Its tilted on its side till I get it mounted so that the amp isnt resting on any cables. I will probably move it to under my passenger seat. I havent decided yet. I also have to buy some new cable, cause i didnt have enough. Its ghetto rigged right now as far as speaker cable. I can take a pic after work though and post it for ya.
24 feet i think? Also its hooked up with 8 guage, i know overkill. also my subs are wired using 8 guage. Would i be able to use a diff gauge wire to the amp if my subs are wired inside the box with 8 guage?
Also greg the subs are sounding pretty good. I know they could use some tuning that is totally outta my knowledge. I did what you said with the adapter gain and i was able to turn the amp gain all the way down. Thanks. Now as for the other stuff. im clueless.

Yeah they replaced them, cost me a few days time.
The conductors in these RCA cables are tiny, I have seen larger conductors used and I venture to state this becomes more of an issue as the length of cable increases. Could be wrong, its happen once or twice.
