Stupid AMP question, 3-way
I assume that 2 channels , lets say the front are 75 x 2
and a rear single speaker is what, 150 x one mono?
I do not intend on using this setup permanently, I will pick up two new 8" subs and a new AMP that is rated for the new subs power usage.
I just happen to have already mounted one JBL, 8" sub in the rear speaker position that I had laying around and will hook it up to my 4 x 75 amp, in 3-way mode, and see what the power does to it.
I think I may pickup up two, 2-channel amps, one to run the new 8" subs and one to run the 2 fronts which are 6.5", I am leaning toward two PHOENIX GOLD R5.0:4, amps bridged, one to run the front speakers and one for the rear 8" subs.
TIA
and the two fronts have 2x75 watts,, in 3-way mode
One sub is OK, but 2 is gonna be better
Now I can choose good subs and an amp ad I have an idea of what the speaker layout is capable of.

sorry
