I was wondering what is the cheapest way I can connect my mp3 player to my 2004 c5. I bought a FM transmitter and it is garbage, I get way too much static where I drive. Unfortunately I have a cd player dash so the tape option is out. I did not purchase the cd changer in the trunk option and will not in the future, so if there is some cable back there that I can cut up, I am willing. I am fully capable of most diy tasks and I have already taken apart the front dash and the rear trunk area. I do not need to be able to control the player through the radio, although it would be nice.
Google ipod2car .. I am not very familiar with although some users have had good success and posted here about it. Another option would be a soundgate adaptor (bout $100) and a new alpine HU that has full speed ipod connection and control features built into the deck .. that option starts around $160 I believe.
Sorry, I should have probably mentioned, I do not have an Ipod, also I really don't care for controlling the player through the car, I am perfectly fine with the controls on my Cowan X5. Thanks for the quick reply.
youre stuck with using something like the aux-pod, unfortunately...if you had purchased the cd changer you could tap into the wireharness and have aux inputs for about $25 and an hour of install time.
