Default Grrr! @%(&@ Bazooka tubes....

I installed a BTA10200, an amplified bazooka tube in the back of my 'vert using a PAC adapter, back in october, Now my radio quit working! All output to all speakers quit. The power antenna also doesn't work when this is happening. I unplugged the power to the tube and the radio starts working fine! I plugged it back in and tried unplugging the blue "remote" wire from the PAC and although the tube didn't come on, the radio is working. Has there ever been any problems with the PAC adapters? I'm going to try bypassing the remote wire and see if the tube works like that, or possibly try a diode in the remote wire. Any other suggestions besides ditching the tube and getting a real box w/ separate amp?

keep the remote wire plugged in but remove the power wire from the bazooka tube. if the speakers down work then it's probably the pac if they do then its probably the tube

I did that and it works. I tried plugging it back in and the tube came out. A little while later, it stopped working, I think its a short in the wiring into the tube..
