funny that you ask. I just finished putting in the driver side in last weekend. It went in a lot easier than the first one did. There are a few issues that I have run into. On two little spots, each side of the lens, the lens acts as a magnifying glass and is slowly burning into the fiberglass painted cover. Also, I am getting glare off of the plastice clear cover lens. I will show pics as soon as i can. Hopefully tonight. Driving at night is a pleasure again. ive only gotten one flash of the brights from an oncoming driver in a little over a week of driving. Thats what I was afraid of. Dammit. Is there a place that can custom build a lens cover with a bubble. like the c5r ones?

Most polycarbonates have a prism effect when putting light thru on a angle. The other byproduct it magnification that is what is causing the housing to melt. You might try a lower rated bulb to try and reduce heat .

Thats what i used before i got the Xenons. They work just fine as driving lights and cops never stopped me for it.
Not-mee, thanks. I'll try that and see. I was also thinking of painting the lower cover black and experimenting with a few different things. I'll let you guys know what i come up with. I'll also see if i can get my hands on a lower powered bulb as well, Again thanks for the tips. Dave
