Eclipse AVN 5500 & Bose Sound Issue

Eclipse AVN 5500 & Bose Sound Issue
Yesterday I had an Eclipse AVN 5500 installed in my 2004 C5. The installer said that the interface between the Eclipse and Bose systems results in a loss of some of the bass and overall sound quality and I tend to agree. Has anyone else experienced this problem? The installer did say that the addition of an amp and different speakers would take care of this issue. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
