Default Help with AVIC D1

Hi folks: I just bought a D1 from a fellow forum member and based on all the posts I've read, the D1 is a good choice. The setup I bought comes with a rear view camera. For those that have installed the camera, where the heck did you place the lens? I can't imagine drilling a hold on the body, so where does it go? Thanks guys.

some guys have actually drilled into the 3rd brake light and you tinted the rest of the 3rd brake light lens. Others just attach it to the rear license plate braket some how. Not sure on the exact details with both. But both looked good and worked just as equally well. Hopefully those guys will chime in, or someone with a link to that post will chime in. ttt for ya. Very nice headunit. I've been wanting one for a very long time

Thanks for the info and yes everything I've read about the D1 suggests it top notch. I'll be excited to get it installed. Thanks for the info. I think I would rather go the license plate bracket. I'll see if some who has done that will pop in. Thanks again -

I put mine in the center brake light, per GB Vette's excellent instructions. Be sure you buy a reverse image camera for the D1.
