I just had an AVIC-D2 installed in my 2005 C6. I kept the 1SA amp and speakers as they used a Peripheral GMCO harness. However, I am hearing a low hiss from all the speakers although it is most pronounced in the center. Setting the volume to "0" makes it very clear. I turned off all sources from the AVIC as well, but the hiss continues.
Anyone have this issue or know how I can fix it (without changing amps, etc.)?
does the hiss change with how fast your car is reving?
No. I don't think it is a grounding issue. I am wondering if it has anything to do with putting an amplified output through an amplifier. The D2 is amplified and it is using the harness which goes through the 1SA's amp. ???
