What length is everyone using for the RCA interconnects from the head unit to an amp when installed in back on the C5?
Also, for those who have added the cor-har and the GM10-AUX for your iPod or MP3 players, where are you locating this input , and what length of RCA interconnect is everyone using for this?
Any experiencing any issues with the sheilding on either of these RCA cables?
I would imagine, 10 ft cables would be long enough if you ran them through the center, running on the sides would need longer. But, I fell into the 17 ft cables, with the wiring kit I purchased, those are long enough to rap around the car twice. LOL Dont go that long.
If you are mounting the amp to the rear wall I would go 12ft. Otherwise the 8 to 10 ft would work.
Probably not much help, but I can tell you the lengths not to go with...6ft and 17ft you should be somewhere in the middle.
its hard to say how much wire you will need because of all the different routes you can go. Run a piece of string that will be your "RCA" route away from amp power and give yourself an extra ft or so for some flexibility. I bought the longer RCA with the amp kit because i know that I will be changing my mind as to where i want to mount the amp.
