Need advice with sub box and subs
Well my first box was a JL Stealthbox. This was ok but I wasnt too much of a fan of the heavy fiberglass and lack of upgrade capability due to the shape of the box. So then I upgraded to a Subthump Stealthbox with an alpine Dual 4 ohm 10 Type R and my rockford power 500bd. This was good until I started having problems with that amp. So when I replaced the amp I went with a Power 1001bd which has way too much power for the one 10. So now I am thinking of buying a new subthump dual 10 box and two brand new Alpine 10inch subs only this time dual 2ohm vc so that I can get an overall 2 ohm load. Has anyone heard this combination. Btw I have always been a Rockford fan and not so much a fan of Alpine subs however, these new Type R subs are awesome.

give NVTHIS a PM on a box.. I like the way his look better then the subthump. As far as subs i like my w7 but it needs a custom box made for it to get the right air space.. I have a pair of RF in my camaro and they thump... 2 power hX2s or something like that matched with a bd1000

Thanks Wicked 98Z! I know how heavy those JL boxes are as I have one temporarily in my car till I decide which way I'm going with a custom box. I am building one currently with a JL 10w3v2d2 for a guy, but this box will not be as heavy as JL's box and will not require any cutting of the factory carpet.
