Default IPOD hookup: Parts not working

First off, I'll list the components I'm using, that way if someone knows for sure they are wrong, we can stop right there.

To connect my ipod to my factory 2000 bose without cd-changer, I ordered from LogJam the following components

1. PIE COR-HAR here

2. PIE GM 10-AUX here

3. PIE Universal IPOD interface here

If these are the correct components then perhaps my problem is I suck at electrical work and I didn't find the right wires to connect up to.

The instructions on the universal part says I need a 12v switched, a 12v constant, and a ground. I used the 3 loose wires at the top-left of the computer behind the passenger kick-panel (as described in the FAQ)

All that happens when I turn the radio on and select AUX is the cd light flashes on and off for a while, then it switches back to AM/FM (yes, there is a CD in the radio, yes I did press the button twice to chose AUX instead of CD)

I'm lost
