Default CB Radio - What do you suggest?

What is a good choice for a CB radio (for club runs, etc.)?
Is a hand-held unit a good option since I won't be using it for much more than Corvette outings?
Thanks for any input.

Jim

Jim;
Forget about CB and go with the personal radio units. They are on FM & have lots of channels. You see them being sold everywhere sometimes as little as 50$ per pair. Range is 2 or 3 miles. CB has become so filthy and noisy I don't think it's of much use. We've been using the FM sets for several years and love them.
Well Jim, there is my 2 cents, and it's free!!!
