Adding sub to C5 Blose system.. with questions

I have a hi-low converter (stock wires to RCA) already to tap the lines for one of the speakers. This has one set of wires for the tap and two RCA outputs. Which speaker should I tap into?
Second, I have a soundstream refrence 500w amp. If I run it in MONO I can only hook up the left output channel. My sub is a dual coil. Can I hook the left channel to one connection and the right to the other and still be safe running the amp in stereo? Or do I run the risk of blowing the sub?
Lastly, I want to build a sealed box that sits down in the center storage compartment and be able to use the stock compartment cover to conceal the box and sub. Has anybody made anything like this... and would you have the dimensions?
Thanks in advance,
Critterus

The amp and dual voice depends on what the amp operates safely at. 2ohm, 4ohm and wire it up accordingly.
I would also advise against using the line coverter off of one of your rear speakers as it is a blose "managed" signal and not a true full range signal. Better and in the long run easier to add to if you add the adaptor that DPG mentioned. $40 to $100. Then you can run a clean signal back to your amp.
The 10" needs to be somewhat shallow in mounting depth in order to fit in a "stealth" style box in the rear. I think you can get away with about 6 3/4" or so of depth.
I am pretty sure that you can run that soundstream at 2 ohms without difficulty. Can't remember if that had the high current/high load switch or not. A google and a couple minutes could probably find you specs and wiring schematics if you do not have the manual. 2 ohms would be both voice coils wired in parallel for a 2 ohm load to the amp.
