Default Stereo installation advice

I know there are plenty of posts regarding basic wire routing and such - but since I have spent countless hours (as I'm sure most folks do) when it comes to picking out eq. that I am - well, pretty burned out searching for the basics.

So, here is what I have purchased to start the installation:

- a cheap 7"in LCD CD/DVD/MP3 HU
- Alpine PREH090 BBE Sound Cancellation and channel output increased from 2.5 volts to 7 volts.
- PPI PCX 480 4-channel amp - 2x80W and 1-320W mono for a sub
- CDT CL-61A component speakers

I would like to ask your opinions on the Alpine PREH090 unit...
- Has anyone added this between the HU and Amp?
- Any issues based on increased voltage and processing pre-amp?

Subwoofer selection - I don't really have a chance to "try before I buy" so I am looking for a single 12" which will fit the current amplification and option to add a mono class D amp (PPI or other)

- Any suggestions on model/brand?

Wirirg Q's:
- what are the current lengths for the RCA's from the dash to the very back wall of the vette?
- what are the basic lengths for component speaker wire from the doors to the very back of the trunk? (Crossovers will mount someware in the back).

- Suggestions type of power lead. power distribution block and remote leads (2 amps) ?

Any help would be greatly appreceated!

i'd go with a image dynamics id12v3 or idq12

my application is unique so I'm not sure about the rca thing. get a piece of string and route it where you want the wires to go and that'll get you in the ball park
