So I'm ALMOST fed up with my Bose system in my '88. I keep getting poping, the quality is not too great and I need a new head unit.
Now.. the speakers aren't really that expensive anymore (about $50 each) so I may just replace all of the speakers and buy the $400 Pioneer Bose-Ready system. HOWEVER.. the popping coming from my rear speakers tells me that my amp for the rear is going out (or amps for the rear..?)
My question:
Where is/are the amp(s) for the rear located? I've looked all over the forum and I'm not finding what I'm looking for. From what I can tell, the later-model C4s have amps in each speaker. I'm not sure if this is true for the '88.
If the amp(s) look(s) fine to me, I'll just go ahead and replace the whole system. I have a guy who would do the whole thing for me for about $500.. I'd like to stay as stock as possible if I can, but if I don't have a choice, then there's nothing I can do about it... =\
