I want one of these units to install in my 84. I plan on making it sit flush in the dash so that it will match the digidash gauges and the driver info center. I don't like the newer models with the ****. Thanks!

Let me give you this warning: If you plan on trying to use the voice control w/ the KD-LX 50, you might be disappointed. I have an 85, and I did have the 50 in my car. I returned it b/c the mic for the voice control could not hear or understand my voice unless I had the car turned off :cry I had the mic mounted on my steering column, which is where JVC recommends it to be installed. This system is made for quiet (i.e. non sportscar) vehicles. I returned it and bought a pioneer DEH-8200p and have been overwhelmingly happy with it. Good luck.
