Default C4 audio processor

Can anyone tell me where the CDM tuner control module on a '91 with the Bose radio is located? I can't get any volume and was told the CDM is probably bad and it should be up behind the glovebox but after removing the glovebox and lower dash panel all I can find in there is what I believe is the climate control module.

It is located just slightly down and to the right of the fuse box on the radio reciver. With the door open looking towards the driver side. The reciver has 4 harnesses pluged into it, two on the side by the fuse box and two on the other.

When you say the radio receiver you're not talking about the main part of the stereo with the buttons on it in the dash are you? I have it out now and will probably have it rebuilt also because it ejects CD's by itself sometimes. I can't find anything with 4 harnesses on it but did locate a small fuse box under the dash on the passenger side. Could the CDM processor be in a different place on a ZR-1?

No, its there. Did you remove the A/C vents? If you did look down inside the dash. you should see a box with the radio antenna lead going into it. There will be two sets of plugs on either side of the box, and two nuts, one on each side. That thing is a cast iron B**** to get out. Good luck; if it were me, I'd just replace every thing. A little more money, but much more peace of mind.

Ok I found it. I was looking at it the whole time but thought it was something for the climate control. It even says CDM on it, now if I only had it out. Anyway thanks for the good info.
