C6 + JL Clean Sweep
What speaker wired from the stock head unit did you use to connect to the JL Clean Sweep? It seems like all the speaker wires are crossed over at some point. there seems to be 2 pairs in the door, one pair is crossed over to only produce bass and the other is crossed over to only produce highs. Center speaker wires are mono and for some reason so are the rear speaker wires (no balance control).
From what I understand, you need to connect speaker wires into the JL Clean Sweep that are full range (produce the whole sound signal). And then from the JL clean sweep you connect your amps. I tired using the rears since it was the closest one to full range, but it still didn't sound right. I could tell the sub (JL Stealth box) was not sounding correctly and the aftermarket speakers I have in the front weren't producing the right highs. When I tired the wires from the front pair, highs were very high, but the sub was not producing a low bass (only high bass).
It seems that what ever speaker wires I use, I either loose fader control, balance control (or both) and I am not getting the full range signal.
Help!!!

So after removing the stock amp, you fixed the problem by connecting to the only wires coming from the stock head unit?

I am trying to upgrade a friend's C6 (1SA) Convertible - essentially he wants more volume at highway/top down speeds.

GM offers two types of Bose systems in their late-model cars. Once is called "Smart Amp" and be default the other is known as "Dumb Amp" (not really what GM calls it).
Both systems use an extenal amplifier and have flat non-equalized inputs (from the radio). In the "Smart Amp" system, the deck outputs are fixed and all volume and tone controls are in the amplifier. Inside the amplifer is where all the Bose magic takes place. They add lots of equalization to make the $1 speakers sound decent and apply crossover filters to optimize the driver perfomance. With theses systems, you need to connect the CL441dsp to the outputs of the amp to take care of this mess.
In the "Dumb Amp", all this equalization and crossover action happens as well. The difference is the volume and tone controls are variable right out of the deck. Which means you can connect the outputs of the deck directly to the Balanced Differential Inputs of the JL Audio "Slash" amplifers without need for adaptors of any kind and still be good. The C6 has this "dumb amp" system.
The CL441dsp looks at the factory EQ curve and applies filters to flatten it out. In this case, the unit has nothing to do because it's already flat. You still have a nice line driver and linear volume control with Aux input however.
The OEM integration of this system is made easier with one of these:http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_c...l.php?cat_id=5
I really like the installation, best of luck with it.
