Radio/Ignition feedback
I have a 2001 with standard Bose radio, cassette and cd changer and the standard ignition coil packs. The radio started to pick up some ignition ticking and feedback especially with FM stations not too much with AM. How would I begin to start to diagnose the problem? Ticking does not really speed up with engine speed and is definitely not there when the motor is off but radio is on. Any help?

If you have not changed anything in either the system or the car then I would say a ground has worked its way loose a bit. Problem is there are alot of grounds but I would start with the radio ground and move out from there.

OK thanks. I have to reposition the bezel around the radio a bit, since I rebuilt the the climate control LEDS about 6 months ago and the bezel never really got re-installed right. So now I really have a reason to take the bezel apart, disconnect the radio cable/re-connect it and see if this fixes the problem. Otherwise, I'll start to disconnect, clean and reconnect all the chassis ground wires. Thanks for your help.
