Default Radio Reception Question....

Since recently becoming a first time vette owner.....i have noticed that the factory radio on my 01 coupe does not have as good reception as my 04 trailblazer with factory radio.....all the local stations pick up fine.....but a few that are about 50 miles away barely pick up even though they do in the trailblazer......i know the vette has the antenna in the windshield and so i'm guessing that it won't pick up as many stations as the fender mount antenna on the trailblazer.....so i guess my question is.....is there an easy way to boost the antennae signal......or should i just buy more cd's and not worry about it.....any suggestions or advice will be appreciated.....

thanks,

atilla....

Get Sirius. It's the fix for bad reception.

I have tried FM signal boosters in the past, and they really don't work.

In windshield antennas SUCK. Now, I thought the C5 had a deck mounted antenna?

yea the FRCs and verts have the rear quarter panel antenna masts adn the coupes have the front adn rear window mounts. Also doesnt help that the car is so low to the ground. I would go for the sat radio like suggested or switch to a mp3 of your choice, or cds like you suggested. better quality anyway

well, CD has better quality... MP3 and Sat Radio are DIGITAL quality, not CD quality... there is a HUGE difference.
