does anyone have the pioneer ipod interface and if so is it worth a damn?
my home av cradle that is in my car now had aweful sound quality because its picking up noise from somewhere. need to use my ipod so i dont have to carry a bunch of cd's around.

its not the same HU but im sure the basics might be the same. With my eclipse HU, the ipod interface through the deck sucks. its slow with scrolling and isnt as functional as the ipod itself. I am thinking about getting rid of the ipod interface for mine and just using the aux input and going through RCAs and just going back to using the ipod itself. ttt for ya

probably a better idea but i wanted to try and use the cradle i have just figure a way to attach the connection at the bottom thru it

For those who rant to use an Aux in type device. This piece is awesome it plugs into the bottom so, powers the ipod and gives u a line level output which is cleaner then the headphone output. Ive used it they make great products. http://davidnavone.com/ipodadapters.htm look for the aux in piece they have its very nice

i have looked at this before, do you have any control over the ipod with the pioneer cable? or is it just for the audio going into the aux on the back of the deck?

Its doesnt allow you to control the ipod at all... which IMO is better I find that navigating an IPOD on any of these radios is crappy at best.

yea im gonna be working on a ipod cupholder mod so i can get rid of the interface and just use the aux input on the eclipse
