sub box specs in an 84

i'm in the process of building a single sub box for my 84, all the boxes i see online are way too big to have in the back, and put the top in. anyone have any ideas, and what size i should make this thing?

I had 2 10"s in the cubby holes. I removed the lids and put a piece of 3/4" mdf over the opening and sealed it up. It worked great and doesn't take up any interior room.
