I am doing an installation in a 2003 Corvette Z06.
We are using a Line Out Converter at the current time, and I cannot locate suitable wiring to get a good signal for the amp to actually produce some sound to my subwoofer.
Right now it would really be helpful if i could find some instructions on how to wire the system up with a line out converter.
Tap the rear speaker leads behind the factory headunit should work but you must go to the headunit. Let me know if this helps or if you need colors or what. There are plug and play adapter that do this quite well

Did that already behind the head unit.. used the tan/grey and lt green and green wires
Did you use the bare wire for common? I have not done this yet, but C5 audio faq has a bose wiring help near the top that says to use the bare wire for common instead of the common or - in the schematics. Let us know how it goes as I too will doing this. Did you by chance read the Bose wiring tips by 99HT in the C5 faq? Thats what I was going to go by. Let us know if it does or doesn't work. Thanks

That was like 3 pages of reading.. I'd prefer just to have someone say here are the wires and these are the colors, put your t-taps here.
I read it a few times and didn't really understand it.

Any help would be mucho appreciated.
Sounds like you are doing the wiring right, but you should probably have a Line Ouput Converter that is adjustable, and is made for factory amplified setups. Typically the signal generated by the wires behind the radio in vettes is a low level signal sent to the amps. A higher level signal for a standard LOC would be at the rear speakers themselves. The signal is already amplified at that point. Or get an adjustable LOC to compensate for the lower signal behind the radio.

I'm sure the signal going to the rear speakers has the highs/lows already filtered out. At least when I tied into it to use as speaker level input for my sub amp the signal was horrible. No lows, some mids, definitely not useable for a sub amp. Hopefully this will save someone else the time of tapping into the rear speakers.
I ordered the PAC unit from a 20,000+ eBay seller. Unfortunately his account was cancelled shortly after my order, so I'm having to purchase this kit twice
I'm pretty sure I've read that others have successfully tapped into the door speakers, as these are subwoofers.
