VettePC 2.0
I saw Cali's post about the great PC install he did, and decided to take some pics of my latest improvements.
New sub enclosure, new PC location and cover, new amp (all fiber Toslink audio), replaced carpet with truvette, new software frontend, new OBD-II connection and software.

Now I am waiting for my seat foam so I can install the new leatherseats.com custom suede and leather covers I ordered...

that kicks a$$ - got any links to the "beginning" steps to get where you are today?
i'd love to put a PC in my car, but am not crazy about all the mods that are necessary to do so in the dash bezel, and where to put the actual PC!

haha, yeah, I am going to install tictile trasducers so I can really feel the bass hits....I am kidding, although I am sure I just gave you an idea I am trying to decide if I want to do heaters, not sure why other than "because I can."

HA! Very cool. btw, we must think alike. I have new seats on the way as well.
I see you moved to RoadRunner. I love that skin, could not get the sizing correct for my setup however.
I have the corvette version of the flash clock/speedo/compass if you want it for your center. let me know...
What camera did you use for backup. I've been researching it, but have not bought yet....

Its actually Frodo Player, could not get RR to work with everything. I do like your Skin however, maybe enough to try again.
I used a Pioneer camera, was not cheap, but its weather proof and did the mirror image, which the Xenarc required. There is a picture in the link at the top, its mounted above the license plate. I used my reverse lights for power, so when I shift into R, the camera comes on and the monitor switches over to Video 2 automatically.
I have been waiting to get those seat covers on, I am hoping in the next week or so! Cant wait, I think they will finish the interior off nicely.

I would venture a guess of around $2800-$3000 including all audio components, PC, peripherals and software. It could be done cheaper. Labor, well thats a whole other story....
Oh, and yeah, I use my SPRINT phones EVDO via bluetooth on the road and 802.11g at home. Its really cool to demo google earth GPS while driving using the EVDO

Aha.. Frodo, my bad, thought was the Simplistique RR skin
Where did you get the backup cam? There is one on ebay that integrates with the license plate frame, but yours is even more discrete
btw: I did the door tweeters the same as yours as well. good thing my sub box and PC mounts are different. Still closing up the box on all that, then I will post more pics of mine.

I picked up the camera locally, I think I paid $190. Its a Pioneer ND-BC1.
Yeah, that seemed like a logical spot for the tweeters, I know several guys have done that.
I will be looking for your pics, mines not flashy, but I prefer the stealth, semi-factory look.
