AVIC-Z1 by pioneer vs AVN-5495 by Eclipse

Which one is better and why? Does the pioneer open up like the eclipse does?

I can't say which is better, but I have a pioneer unit and am very happy with it. To answer your question, the Pioneer does open up to accept both a music CD and the Nav. DVD.

haven't heard the z1 yet but on the assumption that it's based off similar hardware as the n1/d1 the eclipse will be a better choice for sound quality. but they are both decent units
