How to remove speaker covers?

I have '91 that has a loose connection on the driver's side front speaker by my left foot. I was trying to remove the cover yesterday without luck. It seems to be attached only at the top. There doesn't appear to be a fastener up there that comes through the cover. I tried pushing up, down, front, and back but didn't want to break anything. Can someone save me some time and annoyance and tell me how they are attached?

If its the same as the "92 w/ the speaker in the footwell, you have to take of the entire footwell cover. Very easy like 4 screws on the outboard side and it lifts right out.....

don't the little plastic bits at the back of the door jam have to come off?

A vert might be different but I just unscrew the whole sill cover. I now have it velcroed so I don't have to use screw anymore. And yes the plastic piece at the end has to come off.
