So my work on "flags of our fathers" is coming to an end and I was planning on taking a month or two off. i had plans to work on my car and taking some time for myself, maybe go home to see my 1yr old niece. I started doing my demo reel and resume and sent it out to a few places since the summer is usually a bit dry and it may have taken me a month or two to get something lined up. So my original release date from this movie was the 14th, then i was extended to the 21st and then they extended me one last time until the 28th. well the company i worked on for "fast and the furious 3" just contacted me and really wanted me to start on the 24th but they said they'd hold the gig for me until i was finished on this movie....
so that means...no time off...no free time to work on the car. looks like i'm going to have to dedicate some weekends to it and P*ss off the g/f
sorry....just had to vent...i want to finish my car!!!! At least the job will help me pay off the cbr600rr i just bought though
Damn that sucks ... sorta, but more $$$ = more toys!
I am jealous you just got a 600rr though .... part of me really wants to pull the trigger on a f4i ... I think that would be enough for me .. for the time being of course
G'luck on the rest of the project bro I am sure it will be awesome

the rr actually scared me with the power when i test road it but it is so managable it's not really anything to fret. I went from a '97 gsxr750 to the '03 600rr and WOW. i'll really have to think long and hard if i ever want to get a bigger bike again. this thing just wants you to toss it around, it's really nimble. (it's actually faster then my 750 too)
maybe go home to see my 1yr old niece.

I'm going to get flamed for this but I say the stereo can wait. Nothing (besides God ) is more important than the ones you love.
Hey Scott, I thought more about this thread and I decided that you need to quit whining!
Lets examine the facts ... cool job and you are in demand, sounds like a good girl, the vette is no where near stock and always changing, new 600rr .... ya quit the bitching y0

HAHAHA
i guess you're right...except for the vette thing... well it's in pieces...so yeah it isn't anywhere near stock!
I would LOVE to be in the industry. That would be so cool. If only to say "I am in the movie industry, the next time I head back to po-dunk Delaware. "
As for this... it does suck, because you had your time scheduled, and anytime things change, even for the better, it sucks... it changes your set plans. It happens to me about every 3 days...
take the gig, take the extra $$ and wait it out. If nothing else, make yourself unavailable for the month after this next gig is up. Tell your people that up front. I am sure they will make arraignments... and if you are in such demand, hell, they will be back. not to worry.
Yeah it would be cool to see your car done and for you to be able to enjoy it, but I think you might as well take the job and run with it. You never know when things might slow down for you (for longer than you would like).
Since you are in Cali, you'll be enjoying that car while some of us are shoveling snow in December. So quit your whining.
Best of luck with the new bike. I had a 2004 Yammie R6 and really enjoyed that bike. Those small bikes are quick enough and you can really throw them around easy. Enjoy it
