I have a C6 and changed out the rear speakers but I am not sure which colors are the ground and positive? I assume like usual the darker color of the two wires is the ground right?

I'm not sure about which color is which(I'll check my service manual at home tonight), but do you realize that the signal sent to those rear speakers by the amp is mono and very low level? Changing out those speakers without doing anything else will result in.. well.. just about nothing.
Do you know the positive and negative for the center?
I have to reverse the wiring for the rears know since I thought the darker color would be the negative since black is darker than red. No wonder they did not soud as loud as stock. I have the base C6 non bose.

The center channel is what I would assume it would be since Light blue -/ Yellow +, why are the two rears reversed? dark blue, brown +? Light blue, yellow - ? When positive is universally red and negative black.

You'd have to ask the engineers at GM that, but my guess is that they have to choose from available wire colors to that each wire in the car can be uniquely identified and they don't really care about which one is lighter or darker.

With the exception of some of the newer GM vehicles, most all GM vehicles follow this standard wiring code: light in the front are positive, and darker colors are positive in the rear... just think of the light provided at night... it is lighter because of the headlights shining, and darker in the rear because, well it is dark...
