I can't quite recall entirely, but I believe I have the arrows on my PAC adapter pointing at the 3 o'clock position.
Your best bet is to kinda play with the PAC and the input gains on the amp. You don't want the PAC real low and the amp gains maxed as this can allow noise/hiss into the system. You also don't want the PAC maxed and the amp gain at none. This can make the signal distorted coming into the amp.
Best bet is to run the PAC on the higher side and the amp input gain on the lower side with neither at max or min. This gives you the best signal-to-noise ratio. You give the amp good, clean input signal.
I completely understand where you are coming from. I actually kept the dash apart and everything so that I could easily get to the PAC adapter to play with the levels. I ran the wiring first, then put in the box, then did the adapter and RCA's.
That's about 1/2 the price of every other place I've seen!
I know. Don't you just love this forum and ppl here. I saw this same adapter for $125 at a local electronics store. Saw it for $59 on that other site most ppl go to. Finally saw it around $32. Is that crazy or what, and easy to make a decision NOW.. hee..hee..
BTW, I like your Mag wheels on the Black car, is it lowerd. I have the same thing (Black with Mags), but mine isn't lowered, so doesn't look so nice as yours...
When I installed mine, I spent the time to dress the harnesses so that I could positon the module where I could come back later and make the adjustments. It took a bit of work but can be done.
