Custom background in AVIC D2

Custom background in AVIC D2
Can a custom background picure be dispalyed on an AVIC D2? I beleive that the "factory" background choices are stored on the map DVD, but they are just jpg's. Can the DVD be copied and some additional pictures be added, or is there some other way to do this?
