Default 92 front kick panel removal

I can't seem to figure out how to get my front speaker panels off. Can someone tell me if there are any hidden screws to take the kick panels off?? And do the rear covers and speakers come out easy?? I am putting all new speakers in. Thanx for any info. And I checked the faq but no info on how to remove speakers..

I can't speak specifically for a 92, but I was wondering the same thing about my 96. Then I had a big "duh" moment and pulled out my factory service manuals and the procedure is right there in Section 9. IF yours is the same as a 96 (big IF), you have to remove the sill covers as the cover is actually part of the sill plate. First remove the rear sill cover (vertical at the back of the door) and then the actual sill cover. It is unclear whether the carpet has to be removed first...I haven't actually done the removal myself yet (still plotting my system). Oh...the manual secifically says not to try to pry them loose.

Hope this helps.

Hes right. There are like 3 or 4 screrws on the outboard side of the door sill. Remove them and the whole thing comes out. Lift from the back, and it comes right out.....
