Default Hey Audio Guys, How about a Meet?

Hey Guys,
I know you all want to do a meet again. How about September 9th or 10th? I think I'll be heading out to Normal to attend a DSM car show (I have two Talons TsiAWD) on the 9th. In other words, I'd prefer late Satuarday or Sunday morning. It would be awesome if everyone could make it. Wiz, I know you are far away in Michigan but I really wish you could make the meet. I so want to see your set-up. I bet the JLs beat my Infinitys in both SQ and SPL :o Most of all, I want to see a set of Lambo doors in person. Dave, any cheap Hotels in the area? Penta, I would like a ride in the Mustang if you got her fixed.
Anyhow, reply on what you guys think.

Sure Knew, Scott and I will meet everyone at LAX when you fly in to hang out on the cool coast!

Maybe some day we can put a west coast meet on .... one bad thing about CA .. you have to drive 3-6 hours just to get out of state

Sure you can enter but the car must be a DSM or Mitsi car. I'm not entering myself but want to go to get ideas for my two DSMs. I plan on just doing a few hours of lurking and then doing stuff with you guys.

Would it be okay if I brought along my 12 year old daughter? I not sure if these meets are adult only.

Man...I wish I could join you for the meet and greet...would really like to meet you KnewBlew.

I'll be in Minnesota helping out the racing team. That weekend is our biggest race of the year. We are hoping to nab the Pro Stock 1000 win. I'll be leaving on the 8th and won't get back until the 11th.

Actually, I'll be racing every weekend in Sept (unless the owner decides not to go to one of them).

So...who wants to grab hold of one of these for a ride.

I would love to do another meet. I can honestly say that I won't be available until probably October. We have a race the first weekend in Oct, but then we are done. So, if we could schedule it for mid-October, I would really like that.

KnewBlew...maybe we can strap you on one of the sleds. The little guys (600cc) are only making around 200 hp but the big boys (1000cc) are closer to 300 hp. Race weight is in the 575 lb area (different depending on engine size and class)

I think there might be a spare 1500cc sled with a 75 hp shot of nitrous around the shop too. That's just for fun.

I'd be good for it. Currently weigh in at 175-180. I have next to no wind resistance since that weight is spread over a 6'4" body.

In the picture, I like how that guy is covering his ears. The sleds must be loud That is right up my alley

I should be able to do the 2nd week of October.

KnewBlew...are you asking how our driver is covering his ears? The helmet does a good job. Yeah they are loud still, but he has gotten so used to it. The driver here is Ed, the owner of the team. My good bud, Andy is the other driver. We have 4 other people including myself that help out with the pit duties.

Andy is a good driver since he is 6'2" and only like 145-150 lbs. He can tuck behind the windshields pretty well. I believe we'll be testing on Ed's track or dyno'ing the sleds this weekend. I'm hoping Ed will take me out in one of his latest purchases...a 1480 RWHP twin turbo Viper.

Greg...that would be great to hear your two 15's. What amp are you going with?

Well I just ordered up an Elemental designs Nine1, looking at 1400 wrms or so is what they actually put out. So this weekends goals are tranny, and possiably new sub box etc, and I kinda wanna redo where all my amps are mounted but at the same time screw it no one sees it under the floor haha. Also install new distro block and when I start blowing fuses upgrade to 1/0
