Default Thoughts On Audiobahn 10" Sub?

Need opinions on the AUDIOBAHN AWT10X sub. I purchased a subthump stealth box. I am considering this do to the depth issue, or I would of already purchased a JL sub (I should of purchased the box from NCR Dave). Any thoughts or opinions on these subs? Thanks all. Mark Sixty4....

Don't know much about the AWT10X. NCR dave built the sub box for
my JL 12W6V2 sub and the box is well built and it kicks butt.

I would like to find a Jl Sub that would work with this box. Seems like I am stuck with something with a 7" depth or less. Sound quality is important. You maybe correct as usual Scott, However can anyone give me any other opinions on other subs that could work for me?

Mark,

I sell stealth boxes as well... anyhow... how about a JL 10W0? The sub is a decent sub, sounds pretty good, and is shallow enough to work in the box you didn't buy from me.... Sorry, had to do it... I actually sell the AWT10X sub at my shop. Decent sub as well... just not a SQ sub, per se.... There are many subs out there that will work in the stealth box... the Memphis PR10, JL10W0, Kicker Comp 10, and many, many more... most sound pretty good, and depending on your music... will really determine whether you like one sub better than the other...

I am using a JL 10W1V2 with a mounting depth of 4 3/4 inches. I had it in a downfiring box in a Chevy truck and sounded good supplying it with appx 150watts (max advertised for sub). I will be placing the sub into a stealth box that has more appropriate airspace than the downfiring box did so I suspect it will sound even better.

Not to hijack your thread but NCR Dave, you have a pm coming soon ... Got a couple questions about your door speaker plates ...

gl with your install !

The JL Audio 10w1 will work in that box with it's shallow mounting depth. I have built many of these stealth boxes with the 10w1 and they sound great! That is actually one of my best selling boxes. Will a 10w3 not fit in the subthump box or are you wanting to go larger? Hopefully you will find something to work that you like.

Yeah the W1 is an entry level sub, but it does sound pretty good. As for Sq, the W1 may not be what you are looking for.

i hope my comment didn't get taken the wrong way. the w1 is a really great sub. i was just under the impression that he was looking for something a bit tighter/more accurate.

Not at all, not by me anyway. I am by no means an audiophile. I simply tossed in my .02 cents not realizing (cant read sometimes I guess :o ) he was looking more fo SQ.
