Rear speaker removal 2000 coupe
Do the plastic panels have to come off or can just the grills be removed to access the speakers?
Looking at replacing the stockers with Infinity reference 6012i and I have some 3.5" Rockford Fosgate speakers kicking around for the doors. I'm keeping the stock deck and I don't want to go over board right now just enhance the sound.

In my 99 c5 not FRC
I only removed the grill to replace the rear speakers...from the bottom with a flat tip screw driver and towel over it to protect all things around it. I did not remove the plastic molding to do this.
