iPod overheating with Neucleus NC-X2i interface

iPod overheating with Neucleus NC-X2i interface
I installed the Neucleus NC-X2i interface a couple of days ago, and I am getting iPod audio in my C6 Bose/Nav stereo. I routed the cable from the XM (actually Sirius SIR-GM1) tuner location on top of the rear driver side wheel well to the center armrest console. My iPod is getting VERY hot after a while - so hot I cannot pick it up without burning my hand. Same thing happened with my wife's nano. Anybody else experience this?

I guess it has to do with the location of your Ipod. The center armrest can get VERY hot after driving awhile. Didn`t you notice the heat from the center tunnel. You might have to find another location for your Ipod because you will fry it after some time in the center armrest.

Yup, I noticed it gets toasty in there all on its own. I got a holder for the iPod to put it next to the radio and routed the Neucleus cable there. This has the added benefit of letting me use the iPod in manual mode and not have to fiddle with the XM buttons to select playlists and songs. All is well that ends well!!!
