Does anyone know where I can find the wiring diagram that was in the c6 faq section. Need to know where to connect the remote turn on to.
Brian
I didn't have any luck finding a 12V switched source in the factory harness. There's a white wire in the harness that is labeled remote turn on for the antenna module that PAC said is the one to use but it was definitely not switching 12V. I wound up just using the signal sensing function of the Cleansweep to trigger it & my amp.
Some people have hooked up an add-a-circuit into one of the fuses in the passenger footwell. Check cmb13's write-up, I think that's what he did.
Similar to the C5, there isn't one located behind the radio. If you replace the factory HU you will lose the warning chimes. If you have onstar, you will lose some of that functionality as well. However, there are a few different adapters you can purchase to keep your chimes, get 12v switched power and keep the "Retained Accessory Power" function. I don't have onstar, but there is an adapter for keeping those functions as well. Check out PAC at this site. I used the C2R-GM24. http://www.pac-audio.com/products/pr...%20Integration
