also, if the rears are mono, is the signal coming out of the head unit mono or is the bose amp combing a signat to make the rears mono?

The HU puts out clean full range audio. The amp also acts as a crossover and sends mono signals to the real. There are many recent posts dealing with how to take the PAC OEM GM-24 and use it as a breakout cable. The C6 FAQ (top of page) has pics and insructions. Good luck!

Please check out the FAQ. It will not work as a direct plug in very well (OMG PAC is correct!
). Your questions have been addressed at least 5 times this week alone. It will work with some modifications.
