Yep, I have one and it will likely be for sale.

When I get the info and pics organized I will post the details, but RTA analysis yesterday shows that the output from the factory head is in fact flat. The Cleansweep is not needed in the C6.

Never bought one, never will. It is second to the Noise inducing black box of the PAC AOEM GM 24 as a barrier to hifi in the C6.

If you have C6 non-nav without XM, the only way to get IPOD controllability is to replace the HU; I learned this after a lot of investigation. A new HU is about the same price as the Cleansweep and then you can run preamp outs directly to your amp(s) which is better than taking speaker level outs and reducing them and reamplifying them which the Cleansweep forces you to do. Also you won't get the IPOD text on your HU unless you replace it. You can also add Sirius sat radio and Bluetooth at the same time which is what I did.

So if you are planning to keep the stock headunit in a C5, a cleansweep will not be an improvement for the sound quality?

All Bose systems (current) are flat right out of the head unit. The SMART amp system uses a digital bus from the deck to the amp. All tone controls including volume is in the amp so you need to go after the amp which is where the BOSE magic happens. With these systems, the CL441dsp is very useful.
GM elected to put the "Dumb amp" system in the vette which maintains audio controls in the deck. When dealing with these systems you can connect the outputs of the deck directly to an amplifier with balanced differential inputs (like found in JL A series or Slash series amps) because no correction is needed.
I have posted this fact many times on this forum.
Cleansweep products do not induce noise, you need poor installation practices for that!

You have posted it many times AS fact, with no data to back you up except your word. You post here as if you're an official representative of JL Audio yet there's no evidence to that fact as well. I have been active in this section of the forum since before you joined the forum so it's not like I just happened to miss something regarding your credentials.

Now given all that, can you understand why someone (namely me) would dismiss your "facts" and stick to what I saw on RTA analysis? Yes, it turned out I was wrong but that doesn't lend you any greater credibility, it merely proves I made a poor assumption regarding the PAC module.

Hey, if you're an employee of JL even acting in an unofficial capacity I'd welcome you and your information tremendously. Without that, you're just a guy with JL in his screen name making statements of opinion.

so what we have learned is basically dont use the pac adapter but use a standard LOC or an amp with highlevel inputs on it

There's no LOC needed on a C6, it's already a line level signal.

No problem, I just wanted to make sure it was clear on the C6. Though the way I've been beating the drum I don't know how it couldn't be at this point.

I found all your work very helpful and you are 100% correct no LOC needed, or PAC adapter, and for sure no need for a JL cleansweep (unless you like bending over)

So how do you convert the speaker level outputs to rca outputs without the cleansweep?
