Default Takes time for Bose to turn on?

I have an 88 with the factory Bose. Every time (and I mean every time) I turn the radio on it takes up to several minutes before I get any sound. The display and all functions seem normal, but no sound untill it "warms up".
Any ideas are appreciated.
Thanks

Sounds like a grounding problem. I would check the grounds for the deck and the antenna. It may be that these wires have either rotted/rusted or the connections are going. They may be partially but not fully gone. Check to see by adding a good ground to the ground wire at the back of the deck and then turn it on. If this is the case

Hi Guy
The radio, has a bad audio output chip, or the main amp, has pre-drivers to the output amp, this all inside the radio, you need to get it checked by a auto radio repair shop.

Hope that helps :D
