Might be handy to add the PAC AOEM-VET1 adapter to the "Retain BOSE headunit (remove all speakers)". The PAC adapter can be used when replacing all speakers or even when adding a sub to stock Bose speakers. Seems like just adding a sub is a popular choice to do to start with.

I feel like something of a drum-beater here and I guess I am.. but if that AOEM-VET1 contains the 'OEM-1' module with a wire harness for a Vette I can't imagine a worse choice to grab the signal. It may work but man you're getting killed on the bottom end!
Check out this graph - the is the OEM-1 adapter and nothing but. Green line is the OEM-1 and the yellow is the app-generated reference loop. Look at that roll-off!!! Damn thing cost me $300 for a Cleansweep I didn't need.
Komoman....thanks for sharing that. I am curious why the roll-off is there. Maybe like Penta said...there is some eq going on in the HU.
I wanted to offer up the PAC adapter since I used it and I know many others use it. There are more choices than just the Peripheral unit. I am not saying which unit is the best for SQ. I have no first hand experience with the Peripheral unit to offer any judgement.

No problem Dave, wasn't taking a shot just trying to share some rather surprising findings. We were honestly stunned to see that result, expected much better from PAC considering their products in general.
Penta - the OEM-1 box is a generic box that PAC uses for a bunch of different cars, not all of them GM, so I don't think there's anything Vette specific in it. That chart is nothing but the OEM-1 box, there's nothing but the output from the computer connected on one end and the output from the box on the other and fed back into the computer for analysis. As stated previously, the yellow is the output of the computer fed back into the input to act as a reference.
As to what EQ the head in the C5 may or may not have.. no idea there.
Komoman....no worries...I didn't feel you were taking at shot at my suggestion. Wanted to throw it out there since I know many people use the box.
Maybe PAC ought to put a statement in the instructions with that OEM-1 box to "turn the sub up" in order to get the full spectrum of sound after plugging that box in. Those are some serious cuts in the low end of the audio range.

No problem Dave... I was actually planning on updating this list with ALL the available options, PAC, Soundgate, or otherwise... if you look at the time of my post, it was pretty late last night, so I gave up and went to bed...
I will continue to update the list in the next few days...
Scott, can I add this list to the FAQ, or can you add it to the first page of the FAQ? Let me know...
