07 3db increase?

Hi all, has any one figured out what GM did to get the improvement? Im starting to think the improvement was in GMs test equipment.

I don't have an apples & apples comparison to work from, but I did notice recently on an '07 coupe that the rear speakers were putting out far higher levels than my '06 vert ever did. I chalked it up to the enclosures at the time.

We still talking blose stuff in the 06/07? If we are it just means that blose stepped out of 1978 and upped the efficiency on their outdated drivers from 82.5db to 83.1db
