Default does anyone run this JL setup?

xr 6.5 components for the front, xr 5 1/4 coaxial for the rear, 500/5 amp, stealth box w/ 10 in. sub using factory nav head unit on a c6?

everywhere i go to get estimates the different stores push different brands. this is the system i think i am about to settle on. I got great prices on the amp and speakers through the net. install will be about 500 for everything w/ a custom amp rack.

your thoughts????

just an fyi. any jl stuff you get on the net is not factory authorized = no warranty.

i'd drop the coaxials in the rear. not really needed in the vette if your fronts are amped. drive around for the next few weeks w/o rear speakers. once you get the idea that you 'need' rear fill you may actually really enjoy not having them. You'll save some money doing it this way too! Also, check with "'audio dave" about his stealth box. he beats jl's price.

If you pick up an Alpine PDX series amp, you can drop the amp rack. They will fit in the passenger side cubby in the back. You can probably stick two of them in there!

JL component speakers are alright, there are better option though. The stealthbox is a pretty good deal though. The "audio dave" box has an extremely shallow mounting depth which severely limits your sub selection. Once you factor in the cost of the sub...it is just as expensive as the JL.

It WILL fit.. but man it's a pain!

I will re-do my setup in the spring and will move my amp to a rack. There, happy Scott!?!

one other thing I was told that alpine if you hae a problem even right after installation wants the amp back for r and r. Jl will authorize a new amp if warrantied. The specs are better on the jl equipment but may not be audible. Does anyone know if the Jl enclosure for the verts are out yet?

I run the Xr's in the rear and dynaudio's in the front, they sound extremely well together, I've had many doubters telling me not to mix other brands with dynaudio--but these rock!

I just put ZR65o's in the front, xr 525's in the rear and the Stealth Box sub, run by a 500x5 JL amp.. sounds absoulutely incredible. Blows the Blose system away.

Did you kept the stock head unit or did you upgraded? Any pictures of your system? That's what I was thinking of doing.

I've got XR650s in the front. Sound great. No rears. Still waiting for my subs. It's looking like it's gonna be end of December, as that's when the 8w3v3's are coming out. Gonna go right behind the seats, next to the waterfall, under the tourneau. This wait is killing me.
