Default Amp Layout.. PICS (at least a link)

here is a link to some Amp layout Ideas..

http://vettextc.jiminees.com/Amps/

The pictures with the 2 eD amps will only be the eD, the orions will not be installed.. I did have a couple of Ideas if i kept one eD and both orions.

Let me know your thoughts..

i like these two the best;
http://vettextc.jiminees.com/Amps/pages/DX6490_09.htm
http://vettextc.jiminees.com/Amps/pages/DX6490_08.htm

reason being... the two amp shrouds don't work well together. they are just too different. so having them separated like that breaks the continuity of the 'design', relieving your eye from wanting to see another matched amp.

have you thought about trying to display the amp guts on those orions? that would look sweet if you went with with a false floor with a plexi cover.

I did not think of displaying the Guts.. but how would I handle cooling the amps in a situation like that.. With a plexi cover, that would allow stuff to be placed on top too (of course there would be a carpet cover over the plexi)

Also I do like just the 2 eD amps.. I think all 4 is a bit overkill

I agree with Scott on the layout and the Orions are as nice looking as they are sounding. 12V fans are your friend... that would solve cooling issues. You can vent through sides with fans so they're not visible on top maybe.

Another thought is this:
http://vettextc.jiminees.com/Amps/th.../DX6490_12.jpg
looking in this smaller picture, I could possibly hide both orions in the storage bin on the Left.. Or one in each, I know one will fit above the ABS unit.. then if I was really nutty I could run the 2 eD amps in the front.. the 9.2x for Mid bass and the 9.2 on a set of 2-ways..

although I really think THAT is overkill...

I vote for a false bottom, amp guts, plexi, and NEON

oh, and don't forget the LED Cooling fans.

I liked the second link that Scott posted. I think the guts thing would be a neat idea too but wouldn't mind keeping the covers on the Orions.

But yeah, I think they two different brands need to be separated. Of course, it would look great to just have the eD's too.

NAh.. no Neon.. maybe LEDs.. I still need to decide on a front stage.. LOL

Then decide of the Orions for the 8s will be the way to go.. I am still trying to sell the orions, if I don't they could go back on the shelf for a while..
