hm... thought you were gonna ask overall thoughts... my take on them is they are generally nice and rather musical... the tweets can be a bit harsh, but I suspect that is a tuning issue.
I love the focal speakers, just didnt know what the difference is. Should I go v2 or k2? Im not installing rear speakers, just the fronts since there will be a sub.
Difference between V1 and V2, how far off are the V2 from the K2 power? Difference between KP and KF?
Thanks,
Brandon
I have listened to the polyglass, kevlars, and utopias at cartoy's a few years back.. The polyglass didnt suit me at all, it got very white noise when you played them loud. Kevlar was a mark better and Utopias were awesome.
This last week I was over at the local shop and they were working on a 02 Z06 with 165 K2P's and they were *awesome*. I am picking my pair up on Tuesday. Pretty pricey ($700) but worth it to me since I like loud and clean music.
I am a big fan of Focal (shocking). I especially like the Polykevlar line as I feel they will play lower and with a bit more punch in the midbass/midrange than the polyglass will. The Utopia's are awesome as well (and the Be is another world) but to me in a car environment it is tough to appreciate how clean and uncolored they are. More of a home driver IMO.
I do feel that the Polykevlar is worth the extra $$$ over the polyglass line especially in a car without rear speakers which makes the quality of your frontstage shine even more.
