Bose tuning problem....
I'm sure this has been discussed before, but a search turned up nothing. I have the original Bose deck in my 86, and have recently started having tuning issues. Specifically, once a memory selector is depressed, it can take 10-30 seconds or more for the channel to finally tune. I'm getting ready to convert to an F-body Bose cd player shortly, so I wanted to know if this could be a problem with just the old deck, or with the receiver/tuner.

Head over to Radio Shack and pick up a can of tuner spray...tuner cleaner. Remove the radio from the car and then remove the top from the radio. Use the tuner spray to clean out any dust in the radio and clean off the contacts. It usually solves any issues like what you are having. When you do the radio swap pre clean the new radio.
