Bose Fronts Complete
Well the speaker swap is done and for a total of $110 in parts to upgrade the doors and center to Infinity speakers (3 1/2 sizes) I say it is well worth it. I now have better highs and an overall better sound. Would have to see an 07 Vette but doubtful it sounds as good.
I removed the blue plug off the Bose speakers to retain factory harness wiring and clip in ease by soldering about a 3inch wire to the +/- sides of the Infinity and the blue plug. All bolted right in and no issues.
Putting the door on was a small PITA but info I had here made it take about 3-5 min per door. Just watch how they were removed and really no issues. GM could have used a better idea I think but it works.
With these new additions and the JL amp/Stealthbox Sub I added a while back, the stereo really pumps good sound out and more than most would need. Was really straight fwd all in all and thanks to all the forum members that supplied the info it was easy.
