I need help adding an amplifier...
I have recently added an amplifier and 12" sub in my 02 coupe. I ran the step-down converter from my two rear speaker wires and I don't seem to get the sound out of the speaker that I should. It is like there is not enough power from the radio. I have to turn the volume wayyy up to get any bass and flexing out of my subwoofer. Any help would be great. Has anyone taken a picture of where they connected the RCA adapter converters.

Just in case you check this. You can't connect the LOC (Line Output Converter) to the rear speakers because they have a high pass filter on them that is located in the dash. The Bose system has a signal processor in the dash above the driver side footwell. The speaker wires go from the head unit into the signal processor and then to the rear speakers. The signal processor filters out the low frequencies that could be harmful to the rear speakers. The low frequencies can be harmful to a speaker if it cannot reproduce them cleanly. There is not a good place to use a LOC in a C5.
Before I changed my head unit for one with pre-outs I cut one end off of the RCAs I was using and tapped into the wire type pre-outs on the back of the stock Bose unit. There is a Tech Tip on this subject if I'm not mistaken. Good Luck
